= One must go to school.

Imparfait : IT WAS REQUIRED TO (maybe it WAS SUPPOSED TO sometimes)

= One had to eat vegetables.
5. faire ses devoirs.
= One had to do one’s homework.
6. aller à l'école.
= One had to go to school.

Passé composé : IT HAD BEEN REQUIRED
